.....Lyme Park in Disley, Cheshire. Am I glad I went for a walk today - the wind cleared my head, although I could have done without the rain soaking me on the way back! lol! Now before you think I am trekking out there so I can get photos for you, I can tell you I like to be outside and do it for the enjoyment of seeing this kind of beautiful surroundings. No deer in sight today unfortunately, but it was a nice way to end the year. ps I have done very little to this photo as I like the softness and subdued look and I think sharpening this would spoil it. What do you think?

i think you're a lunatic! oh...um, you meant about the focus...whoops..hehe ;-) the focus on this is fine, Patti. the mossy stone wall and green and gold growth on the park 'floor' lend a nice warm feeling to this. nice job :o)

Are you healthy again, going out in the rain??? But the picture is great. I like the view, the wall and the plants in the foreground. The soft effect is just perfect, as if you have done that in the photoshop. smile. Happy New Year.

well not completely better Sabine, but I feel better for the fresh air and I had an umbrella so kept the rain off my head! lol! The photo was taken in raw and just lightened slightly because it was a bit dark. I don't have photoshop, but hope to have it on my pc soon, as long as it does not stop running, because I have imminent disk failure and may be offline for a while if that happens. :O

Any good one Patti. It's a keeper for sure and the softness is just great. Keep your head dry and you'll feel better (my computer had it's operating system crash a couple of days ago - I was able to use my laptop so I know what you are going through - US$63 to fix)

I think the softness suits the dampness of the day and it is a lovely scene.
There is much to look at here, the wonderful drystone wall, and the movement in the grasses, also the magificent skeleton trees against the winter sky. Full of atmosphere, well done :)

I like the mood this pic gives Patti. I imagine my car stops without a reason there in this scene you ve captured. And as i am getting out and closing the door i am looking the trees and then i am hearing a strange sound from the little hill deep in your picture.I afraid to go close and i am climbing this stone fence ( Great English Language) trying to have a better view. And what i am watching ? A big box with smoke. I think it fell of the sky and i decide to take the cool anti-fire kit from my car and go there to check it out.I am now 46 cm away from this box. I have a better view now and suddenly i see the box opens like a mechanical rose.I can't see anything because of the huge white light that brings out and a bigger noise so i close my eyes and my ears to reduce the sound and my fear. After a while and in state of shock i opened my eyes. Everything is gone. I am heading back to the car . And what do i see PATTI? my car doesn't look the same it is washed and the Antenna that i didn't have is now there looking really nice. The suprises do not stop. As i am getting in i see a Brand new mp3 player with a CD to the co-driver's seat wich says: The 100 Best Traditional songs from Planet Tsibula and there is even a small message next to it writen in a strange piece of some kind of paper wich says: (Tsibulian People wish you Happy new year.As for the presents don't mention it.We bought them on sales somewhere in Mexico for 15 dollars dressed as handsome female models.) The car still wasn't working so i called a friend of mine who has villas in Spain and she came with her airplane and hot cream buttered super light extra sugared coffe and picked me up. The coffe was her's

What a great way to end 2006 Patti. I'm glad that we are able to see what this looks like in its natural setting and colors. Glad you're feeling better and I too love to be in the outdoors every chance I get. It just seems to make you feel better doesn't it?. Thanks for sharing your final walk of the year with us.
