........when I stopped at the Anchor Inn on Saturday I sat by this window and the late afternoon sun was streaming through creating patterns ....I was looking through the images on my camera and looked up to see this image ....well I just had to add one more! ...this is the room said to be haunted by young William Sandler ....I wonder if he is lurking in the corner! ;)

You show us the proof, that you are a very good artist. You see this thing in the perfect light and you know, that you have to take a shot. For me this is a winner.

Great patterns...I also like the gold reflection on the wall from the can. A lot of detail, but definitely not too busy. Nice job!!

I like the idea of having taken a shot like this. Very much so, as I am intrigued by, and love the architecture of window structures.

Add in the element of light play ... and you definitely peak my interest and artistic sensibilities.

Caveats? If I may be so bold ... the one object that is slightly hidden on the sill, more or less (although never 'les's where verbosity on my part is concerned :oP) ... lead me to the following suggestion ...

A shift in camera position, to bring that particular object to the forefront of being able to view it more so ... I think ... think ... that not much would be lost in translation either, insofar as the patterns of light and shadow that caught your minds eye.

Or, perhaps ... moving more so into the shot, keeping the metal watering can(?) as the focal subject ... and allowing the dichotomy of outside light, as would be seen more so ... counterplay with the light play and shadows cast, and then possibly the interior luminosity.

One element, aside from the window structure itself that I really enjoy ... is the contrasting textures you captured in your image as well. And captured well, I must say ... the wood, the metal and the glass or ceramics(?) of the object on the sill.

Nice detail and clarity on those aspects and in your overall composition.

The more I look at this one, the more it would appear that this was indeed a challenging shot on many levels.

I like it. :o)

Nice work.
