.....nowhere on earth will you witness or sense such a seductive magical atmosphere as you do in the Djeema el Fna Madina in Marrakech. As evening turns to dark the atmosphere becomes electric with dancers, music, entertainers and the many food stalls. This is early evening and of course I used the zoom - no way was I getting any closer to those snakes! lol!

It shows that you used the zoom, and i like it. The zoom gets the scene more compact, and works well here. Also the light is soft and warm.
Great posting Patti, now i will wait for future updates from this country.

I don't know that I'd even have got this close - the idea of a loose cobra in a public space! I'm surprised by the uniform pink colour of the buildings and really like the geometric designs on the bank.

I would love to visit this place. Reminds me a little of Israel. I don't think I would go near the snake charmers, either. Wonderful presentation of this colorful scene.

Hmmm - the only thing missing in this image is YOU, Patti! Very interesting and busy capture - busy is good in this case. If I was the guy on the right I think I'd be watching the snake as opposed to the chick he's checking out across the plaza. It has to be a woman - what else could distract a man from a cobra lying at his feet staring at him?

I love playing the armchair tourist with your photos, Patti. I really like how you raise the level of a people shot like this beyond the level of a "snapshot". Quite interesting view of a totally different way of life.
