.......taken at Monsal Dale waterfall last Saturday ....proof that I was indeed standing on top of Nigel and Jan to take this photo! :~O Nigel thought the square rock to the left reminded him of chocolate cake ....I beg to differ - that is definitely fudge cake!!!! lol! ;)

I'm fascinated with the overwhelming sense of motion throughout the image. Composed nicely and the clarity is wonderful considering all the turmoil. As for Chocolate and/or Fudge cakes ? ... I cannot help but wonder at times, who are the bigger whackos ... you Brits or we Yanks. :)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
It doesn't remind me of fudge or cake...Looks like a big thick steak. LOL. I love the looks of the water in this falls shot. Fantastic take on the scene.

Aha, so now we've all posted one - or in Jan's case, two. Funny how pictures can turn out so different depending on the eye that's looking at them. I like what you've done with the colour here, and there's lots of detail and brightness in the water too. Those waterfalls have never been photographed so much!

Obviously, this is my kinda shot! The exposure is just right to capture the glassiness above the rocks and the flowing water after it drops off. I really like the composition too..nice one!!

oh most definatly fudge cake!! lol! it is amazing how different all the shots look. i like the light in this one, and the details of the patterns of the water! i cant look at this waterfall without thinking of cake now!

love the flow you captured here, Patti. the contrast of fast and slow, rough and smooth, really work well here. one thing, and it's beyond your control. the rock outcrop, visually for me, would've worked better on the other side of the whitewater.
but if you want to be a dear and move it, I'd be grateful :P
