...the Peak District Derbyshire has seen more snow this year than for decades. It looks as beautiful in white as in green! I would be interested to hear your comments/critiques on this photo - I have entered in an informal contest where I work.

The road might end there but the view goes beyond Patti. I like the composition very much. A lot to look at and enjoy.
Good luck in the contest.

Patti - A gorgeous scene - I particularly like the lines both in foreground, and of the hills a roads cutting across the valleys. Though the browns dominate a bit on the left, the scene is well composed. Thad

What a nice little dusting that is. I like how soft the snow looks here, and the gentleness of the hills in the background. Nicely done!

I count five (maybe six) different sets of lines in this, Patti and I really like the shadows of the clouds on the hills. Pretty post and where have you been, young lady?

I tell you what dahlin'..this is gooood!...a worthy entry!....Snow or sun...the dales are a paradise for us snappers!.......
A great comp entry....Looking at this is a different perspective....I would crop it to a 'vertical' landscape...

The lead-in track to the farm houses are spot on...seems to be a waste of countryside to the right that, maybe a suggestion to crop that out!....This is what my club judges would say to me!.....

only a suggestion though...

thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I took quite a few shots at this location - it was so beautiful with the little farm in the foreground and the endless hills beyond! I have a few vertical shots too Bob me owd friend - I was undecided as to which was better - landscape or portrait - I went with this one for the contest as I really love the lines shooting out in all directions. I will post my portrait version so you can give that a critique also. :) :)
