Just a little experimenting with textures. This is a photo of some of the African Violets in my home. I added the background and framing to make it look like a painting. Please let me know what you think. All views and comments are welcome.

I like it Eileen! Looks great..the texture looks neat in it & the colors are very vivid. It has a soft feel to it. Like Bob said..a tapestry type look. Nicely done my friend! C):-) *

These flowers are so soft and delicate and feel so smooth and silky. The look of this image is a canvas look and I love the framing but I would rather see then in a softer portrayal.

Well, there you have it. The tally is in and everyone votes you did a tremendous job and the effect is perfect. I think it would look great on the wall and the purple frame was an excellent choice!

African Violets are my favorite flowers and I tried my hand at hybridizing them over25 years ago and I've always wanted to start it again but alas there is just never enough time.

As for your image Jen: It brought back all of those emotions and that is a good thing. This is very beautifully done. I'm reserving this for a later desktop. Thanks for the memories.

You are really getting good at the manipping stuff! I really like this, if I didn't know differently, I'd think it was a painting.

Wonderful presentation of these beautiful flowers. I love the many colors you can get with African Violets. Not just the blooms but the foliage as well. :)
