Black Phoebees are a type of flycatcher. Their characteristic black and white coloring make them very easy to identify.

This fellow reminds me of the Junco's that we have here in the winter.
I like the fact that you were really working to get a good DOF on this.....it appears,to my eyes at least, that your focal point is on the branch the bird is sitting on which in turns, puts your feathered friend a bit out of focus.
The DOF still keeps that back branch a bit too prominent for this viewers eyes.:)
I still keep 'catching' that background and my eye is drawn
away from the subject matter in the foreground.
