A few days back while walking my dog through bush she pulled me off the trail to this old tree stump about 10 feet high and sniffed out his young Racoon in the stump. The racoon scambled to top of stump so I took a few shots of him then left him alone...This is about best shot. I like these guys...really like their mask on face....Used my Nikon D50 with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 195mm. Shutter was at 1/250 and Aperture at f/4.8 and ISO 800.

Oh he's lovable Gerry. I'm sure one shouldn't get too close but I would want to pick him up and take him home. Excellent clarity and the composition is wonderful. Great job. Thanks for sharing him.

You make him look so sweet, Gerry! It's almost as if he posed on your advise. A beautiful shot!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Wonderful close-up of the raccoon. The big brown eyes and nose make its face very appealing. Fantastic pose.

Looks like a healthy raccoon, too. Clear eyes, no runniness, nice coat...

Into favorites!
