This was taken this morning early. I just barely walked into bush when this fellow was checking me out. used Nikon D50 with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 280mm. Shutter at 1/320..aperture at F/8 and ISO at 400.

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.
You're so lucky they like to freeze when they're frightened...and you're also lucky to live near an area that has these beauties in abundance. I like the way you were able to shoot this one, and you're going to put me off venison forever !!
