In my last upload I mentioned that I took walk around pond and came across four nesting Canada Geese. This is one of these Geese. Their is actually three ponds in immediate area and this is a more secluded pond. I was able to drive my vehicle up close to get this shot..did not want to stress the bird and also the gander was near by keeping guard. Interesting story...the day I walked around pond one of the ganders chased me and you guys would have love to see a shot of that LOL...but alas no one around to take picture :))..

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....

Ah... my favorite things in the world... I've been busy taking shots of nesting geese and little goslings, but nothing quite up to the standard for this.. I love all those details -clarity plus!! Glad to hear others are out enjoying the geese!

Great clear shot, Gerry. Your shots are always so focused.

This is lovely Gerry, I love ducks and geese, and this is a wonderful shot. He/she looks like they have spotted you and keeping a beady eye on you!! Well done!

Looks great, Mr. P. I love the look she's giving you and she knows she has nothing to fear with her gander on guard duty. You're right! That would have been a sight to see! Now see, there's where you need to always go out in twos when you photograph. You never know when you might need a spare pair of hands!! Oh, the ones that get away!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Big brother's watching you :o) A mistreated dog should try to leave a deposit on their masters best carpet, after all it's important to establish who's boss ... My gallery is here.
