This would be a place to see. I spent some time in Cornwall and only looked at lighthouses. Your good technique goes along with a good photograph.

You did really well in these lighting conditions. Depending on the camera the noise could really be an issue as well as the aperture being lower than is comfortable to hand hold without blurring. That era that the store image portrays is a tad before my time I believe.
