This is a follow up shot to yesterdays upload, against my better judgement I left the tarmac path, & ventured onto the marsh. But let it be noted I kept my eyes firmly focused directly in front my feet b4 each step, the two Swans observed my progress, & split up.

I only photographed this bird simply because it remained in clear view. :o) It's got a string of limp vegetation hanging from it's bill, all waterfowl love eating vegetation, & this Mute Swan is no exception.

Thank you to everyone who commented yesterday, especially those who remarked on the Tidal barrage. I doubt anything will come of it now, but I may have to endure the sight of massive wind turbines in the future. :o(

Thanks for your visit, & goodnight. :o)

You must have done something to get the swan's attention, from the way it is looking back at you. Very nice picture again. You really know how to capture the water fowl.

Phil, Such a good clear, sharp and well composed image. He does have his eye on you. Maybe wanting you to slip in the muck. The texture of the mud sure shows up well too. I sure hope you don't see the wind turbines in the future. I hate the fact that we are loosing mother nature and her glory. sandi♥

A well exposed image with very good detail, particlarly in the white areas, not an easy task under full sun. Nice work.

That mud looks ooey-gooey. You need webbed feet to venture here. The lovely swan turned her head to give you a lovely profile or to examine your craziness in your pursuit of her photo. lol Nice one, Phil.

Great composition, but I like the other a little more for its more graceful lines.

Ask your Congressmen and Senators why our existing wells aren't pumping more than 3 days a month? There a lot of unused capacity in existing wells.

The composition here is great Phil. I love the shape the swan is forming. It reminds me of the lower-case delta I had to write when doing calculus back 38 years!

So unusual to see such a Beautiful Creature in a Spot such as this. The pose looks like a Question Mark reversed. Perhaps asking.....What Am I Doin Here ?
Fine detail and clarity on the Swan.

I really like the character of this particular individual! He seems to be like a normal majestic and beautiful swan should be but as your eyes makes its way up its body you find, as you say that he has a mouthfull of weed and bed hair!!! I find the out of place ruffled feathers a most endearing characteristic. LOL Good job!

Hey now, this is the real deal...we can't always expect to see these beautiful birds posing pretty in turquoise colored waters...nice to see one in a moment of solitude in natural surroundings and not concerned with appearance...great color and detail Phil...and I love the expression and the way he is turning around as if surprised that someone would be here...well done and thanks for sharing.
