I was down by the Sharpness Canal today, & came across a family of seven. The adult pair have been rearing their off spring there for several years now.

This isn't a perfect shot, I sometimes hanker for a 35mm camera, there never was a time lag when you squeezed the shoot button. Never mind though digital cameras will catch up soon. (o:

It looks like the timing was right to me Phlossie. The drop dripping off its bill is fabulous. Excellent coloring as well. A great post.

It is an excellent capture Phil. I can't see why you aren't satisfied with it. The details are sharp and clear.

I have to agree about the 35 mm my friend. I still have mine and am tempted to pull it out again. This really is a good shot though. He just looks so soft and cute.

What a precious photo of that duckie!! I just love how soft the feathers look and those darling drops of water coming from his beak is just pure perfection! I know how you feel about the 35mm tho...I miss using my Canon AE1 SLR a lot. But I guess we all get spoiled to the Digital nowadays. Congrats on this lovely photo!! Verena
