This piece is called "Tomb of Philippe Pot, governor of Burgundy under Louis XI," by Antoine Le Moiturier"; the figures are life sized. The piece was originally called La Roche-Nolay and was created around 1480. Musee du Louvre, Paris, France; July, 2016.

Ted - The Louvre has some amazing works of art, and this is certainly in that category. You did a terrific job in photographing this.

I can't help it, Ted... try as I might, the first (and repeatedly) thing that enters my head when I view this one, is... ta-daaaaaa.

The second is the funeral scene from "Four Weddings and a Funeral", where the guys carry Gareth's casket on their shoulders. I've never seen that sort of thing here in the U.S, probably because the caskets here have to be built to withstand a nuclear detonation, so it's obviously a European thing. An interesting slice of history, Ted, right up my alley.
