Some places are so colorful one can get caught up in it and not see other things about the subject. In seeing this in black & white, I seem to be more able to notice the rhythm, balance, and erosion of the rock than I could when observing it in color. Arches National Park, Utah, USA.

Smiles ... I have the feeling that Ansel Adams would agree with you.

It really brings the stonework's texture and (more importantly) CHARACTER to the forefront.

Yes you are so right - B/W is perfect for this unique rock formation.
I like how you composed it and the clarity is spot on.
Added to my list for the BWC additions on Wednesday - thank you :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

You're absolutely right, Ted. When I was taking darkroom labs in college, all we shot was black & white Ilford, and we understood what both a challenge and a blessing that film was. I love the shapes and strength in here.
