Snagged this one in the Gallery of Francis I, although I do believe that is a bust of King Louis IX (Saint Louis). This was is one of the first and finest examples of Italian Renaissance decoration in France, constructed in 1528. Fontainebleau, France.

Marvelous details, in this one, I noticed the details in the roof as well. Beautiful imagery Ted, such good color as well. tigs=^..^=

That is some fantastic woodwork, particularly that "Escher-esque" ceiling, and it's all enhanced by your exacting centering job and tack-sharp focus. bd (two thumbs up) I'm guessing that a photo of nothing but the ceiling would look just like a fractal. A clear case against the modern concept that if something is old then it can't be good.
