This past Sunday I drove a few miles out of town into the high desert taking my drone, Nikon, and Osmo Mobile 2 with me to do a little shooting (photography, that is). Captured this shot of the Three Sisters while driving around. Rural Dechutes County, Oregon, US.

It seems odd to see snow on those mtns, with all of the heat we are having, the peaks stand out so nicely against that sky. tigs=^..^=

I hope you won't mind, Ted, if I crop some of the top off to make a pano to accentuate the mountain range, when I pull a copy for my wallpaper? Always interested in mountains ('cuz we removed all of ours... a local joke we put on billboards), I researched a little: The Three Sisters are volcanic peaks that form a complex volcano in Oregon. They are part of the Cascade Volcanic Arc, a segment of the Cascade Range in western North America extending from southern British Columbia through Washington and Oregon to Northern California. Each more than 10,000 feet (3,000 m) in elevation, they are the third-, fourth- and fifth-highest peaks in Oregon. Located in the Three Sisters Wilderness at the boundary of Lane and Deschutes counties and the Willamette and Deschutes national forests, they are about 10 miles (16 km) south of the nearest town, Sisters.
