Captured this beauty on a visit to the Bellevue Greenhouse on 2016, 09-18 (Sunday) after church that morning.

They sure are a striking blossom and she asked me to take her picture, she was pleased with the results and gave me permission to post.

My contribution to a Early Foofy Friday posting.

As you guessed I've been doing a lot more shoveling that's why I haven't been around much. So far our city has received 335.28 cm/11 ft or 132in. Well folks my husband broke down and bought a snowblower and it's being delivered next week hurray. The snow banks are getting too high to shovel up at our age.

Thank you for your time and comments most welcomed. Have a great day.

A real beauty Pat. I am always attracted to these blooms.

Take care in the snow and have fun with the snow blower :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Congratulations to Jack and you, Pat. A very wise decision.
Good Luck with it!

Thanks for this splendid 'floral bird in flight' (☺) image.

Very nice shot of this rare and beautiful flower. The colors and clarity are superb.

Only with that blower will you both win this constant fight against the "white stuff".

Nice closeup Pat! I think this past winter humbled you both. I know if I were up there, I definitely would get a blower. I'm used to hard work, but the older you get, the more you realise you're no spring chicken anymore. That was meant for ALL of us not just you of course. :)
