It really is... It was the original Farmhouse of one of the biggest Filbert Orchards here in Oregon. We've been passing it on our way to go shopping for the last 17 years and have watched it just fall apart. Thought I needed to get a shot of it before the fire department does a practice burn on it..Sad it couldn't be restored.. PS. The new "Mansion" is behind it about 500 yards.

Nice shot, title and narrative Joe. I think B/W was perfect for this photo. It makes it look even more abandoned. Lone tree just adds to scene. Very good photo.

LOL@Jhihmoac!! I don't think there would be many trick or treaters coming round that old place. How sad that it was left to disintegrate like this.

I am sure those walls could tell a few tales Joe! It looks rather sad leaning sideways and about to tumble down! ...very good capture though - you captured the feeling of neglect!

Very dramatic. I doubt even a lot of TLC could revive this one. Good that you thought to take this shot now before it is gone forever.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I love this picture, it suits b/w perfectly and has a kind of sad nostalgia about it.
