Crocosmia is such a graceful plant. It flowers for weeks and the leaves are almost as striking. This one is planted amongst some roses and they really seem to compliment each other.

I kow this as montbretia. It grows wild here along the roadsides and in waste areas, and is classed as a pest ! I took some home once years ago to plant in my garden and it took me several years to get rid of it :)

I really like it - and this is a great image of it - very realistic and it pops right ourt of the screen.
Well done :)

Just beautiful Joe. The colors are stunning. I bet it does make the green of the trees look better. Nice clarity. Excellent post.

This is a beautiful image of this flower. I have been trying to take photo's of this plant lately, but none have come out as beautiful as yours. You have really brought out the true beauty in this under-rated flower indeed. Fav'd and thanks for sharing this lovely image!

oh yes Joe! I love these flowers - I have a bit patch of them in my garden just outside the window next to me - so pretty and yes they flower for weeks! I like the 'Lucifer in the evening' name - never heard that one before. Beautifully captured!
