Now this is definitely up close and personal Jen! This will work well for sure. Everything is good about this image. Thank you for sharing your favorite flower with us. Much appreciated :~)
Can I apologise In advance for NOT answering your comments for the next few weeks...My time on Caedes will be limited!...Holidays take up most of my time...So, can I thank all of you, my dear friends who have supported and commented on my works..I wont be away too long, I promise.....
A wonderful view! I especially like the soft richness of the petals. I've enjoyed many magnolia photos, but this is the first time I've really seen the complexities of the center.
Dang, you're a talented photographer! This is so kewl! Forgive my scarce comments these days...I'm trying to sell one house and build another and just can't keep up with all the images. So glad I caught this one! Wen
Jen, this is fantastic. There are millions of flower pictures out there (and I think most of them are mine), so it's nice to see one that really stands out. This is a beautiful flower, captured beautifully. Classy, elegant, graceful. Love the different shades of white and love the textures. I can almost feel the petals. Well done! For the record, in my opinion this needs no touch up work whatsoever. I disagree with the remark above that everyone touches up their photos. Most probably do, but it's truly a great photograph that looks so nice with no manipulation. This is off-topic, but I actually think it would be cool to have a separate category for "unmanipulated".
As you say, perfect desktop material. Although I usually like a small DOF in macros, in this case I would have preffered it if the background (ie the petals) were in sharper focus than they are here. I preferred how it looked in the preview... still splendid work though.
