taken at dusk on nantucket island. the lighthouse is very short. it almost looks like one someone might have put up for fun. one day i took a boat to hyannis and returned at night and it was VERY obvious to me why it was necessary. looks best when viewed full frame. thanks so much for any comments

Super shot. I like the greenery and the lighthouse is a little gem. Pretty sky as well. Very nice work.

Jerry said it best, but I agree. The angle the shot was taken to include the boat and the water just fits the description of Nantucket and the Cape. Those little red berries complement the red light in the light house. A very nautical shot. Beautiful.

What remarkable detail in here, Jen. It's very inviting to walk right in to that lighthouse - well done!

The evening skies are beautifully captured, Jen. Great spot, and I can see from the well worn path, many others have enjoyed it as well!

So pretty, Jen. How do you get from Hawaii to Nantucket so quickly? ;) You must have a private jet. I'm so jealous that you get to go to such beautiful places and take pictures. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it one day after those darn kids grow up!

Wow, this would knock my socks off...if I had any on. Would rather explore that scene barefooted anyway, the sand being so inviting. The greenery on either side is stunning and the lighthouse, perfectly captured. The eye moves about smoothly making this photo a joy to behold. Love the twilight mood and rumbly looking sky. Extremely well done and into my faves--thank you!

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand. ~Margery Williams The Velveteen Rabbit~

Completely captures the essence of Nantucket, one of my favorite vacation spots. I love this picture, the only thing more beautiful is to see it in person. Fantastic photo....
