The colors are brilliant, orange against the blue and the little bird does resemble a hummingbird as you suggest, so he must be tiny. The clarity is excellent, Jen. What a great find and such a cute comp.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Nice angle on the flower, and a lovely contrast in colours, as well as the capture of the bird. A quick google suggests it might be a female sugarbird, btw. Good work :-)

Great shot. It does resemble a Hummer and the plant adds so much color to shot with sky in background. I like the sound of it being a Sugarbird, whether it's male or female, I can't tell. Maybe I'm color blind. Good post.

The color on the plant and the sky almost takes your eyes away from the bird...perhaps it was only an after thought after all!!

Nice photo. Great colors and contrast. The upturned tail on this bird is very suggestive of a Wren. Some people describe a Wren as an egg with a tail and beak. lol Terry
