What a back yard WC. It is dwarfed by the buttes, mountains or whatever. The top of the rock looks like an eagle looking down on them. What a nice capture of the stone hogan.
Great post.

Oh I got this in the VB and I liked this photo so much. I especially like how you got those sunbleached branches on the right side, to me, that just added the final great touch to a very interesting photo. What a find! Verena

Jen, thanks a lot for this wonderful image. With this impressive background we have a good idea now about the size of the Navjo hogan. Like to agree with Verena about adding the branches on the right side of your image. Stunning work!

Nicely done. Does anyone see a face in the rock on the left?

The colors are beautiful on this - the color of the sky is so close to the color on the covering of the hogan. Great capture and thank you for sharing with us Jen.

I have seen some of those from a distance when traveling across I-40 when driving a truck. Do some of the Indians still live in those things?

I wish when I went to Arizona I could have met you, I think we would have fun getting photos together. My sister was getting a little inpatient with me. LOL As for your photo, I love the photo and the angle that you used, and the information helped too. Great job.

Well, I might dispute the "traditional" part of this image. Not sure the Navajo had access to concrete and the roofing materials. Still a very nice image. The backdrop for this image is fabulous. Love the composition.
