Thought black and white might be effective. The glacier front is much taller than it looks here. I took this from a high vantage point. The glacier is in Argentine Patagonia. Thanks for any looks. ENJOY!

I can only imagine how massive this is WC.
The mist/cloud directly behind it adds a lot of drama.
You did great.

The trees in the bottom/left in your image is the reference to me. I even took into account that the trees are in the foreground while the glacier has more distance (so appear to be smaller).

Impressive and beautiful, and rather rare, image Jen. Thanks for sharing this wonderful shot.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Excellent b/w for the challenge, very impressive to see a glacier up close. Such great textures and a dreamy background. Would love to see this one in the coloured version, to see the blue ice

Glaciers like this are of such a massive scale that a photo can't really show its magnitude. But, this one comes very close. An Internet search shows this glacier to be 3 miles wide, 558 feet deep, with 240 feet above the water line, and 19 miles long - that's a lot of ice! The contrast of this b/w shows the details of the fissures and the ice field clouds. Wonderful! Thad
