This lovely lily is my contribution for Foofy Friday. While these lilies are very pretty, cat lovers please take note. According to the ASPCA, lilies are considered to be highly toxic to cats. While the poisonous component has not yet been identified, it is clear that with even ingestions of very small amounts of the plant, severe kidney damage could result. The Society of American Florists recommends keeping lilies out of the reach of cats. It is important to note that lilies do not pose a problem for other pets or humans. Enjoy and I'm wishing everyone a Great Weekend!!!

That lily looks very lovely in the sun with some shadow falling on it. You mentioned cats - what about children?

Laura, today I've learned again something new. Thanks for the info. I really didn't know that lilies are that poisonous for cats.

About your Foofy Friday contribution I can be brief: gorgeous!

In spite of the black background, this wonderful lily has sheered up my gray and rainy day!

Thanks, my friend.

Great info which I did know since I've had cats for years and a really beautiful lily Laura. (I'm also allergic to most lilies so it works out for me and the cats! LOL)

Even if it was good for cats, Laura, no cat should touch this beauty!
