It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon 84 degrees, low humidity so I ventured to our local agricultural center and to my surprise I found this lovely dahlia growing in the community gardens. I just love the colors and hope you do as well - As I was walking through the gardens, I took a brief survey of the gardeners and asked how their crops did this year - everyone said they had good productive crops - all the vegetables they grow are for the family table. Some were there putting in fall seeds, mainly lettuce, cabbage and kale - Kindly Enjoy and have a Great Week!!!

It is beautiful Laura. I can see why it caught your attention.
Your visit with the community gardeners made me think of John Ogonowski. He was the pilot of Flight 11, the first plane to hit the towers on 9/11. He was an avid farmer and was involved in a land/lease project for Cambodian immigrants. I am giving the Memorial for 9/11 this Friday and his life is a part of my speech.
