I do have a closer up version of this but it cuts off the top part so posting this one first. This is an accurate replica of The Wynn Cupboard. The original was made for Robert Wynn's father around 1545 locally. It stood in the Wynns family home ( Gwydir Castle) until 1921. The emblams on the front are the Wynn family crests and heraldic devices, which can also be seen through out Plas Mawr in the plasterwork. The family plate, best silver, and linin would have been stored in the cupboards and drawers. In 1921 it was sold to american William Randolph Hearts, then it was sold to scottish ship owner Sir William Burrell who died in 1958. The Wynn Cupboard is now in the Burrell Collection in Glasgow. Now Ladies and Gentleman we will pass through the door to the left of the cupboard and into the kitchen.
