I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

No wonder it's empty, it looks so distressed and in turmoil. It's much darker in feel than your usual images, and I have to admit that I'm feeling a bit uneasy looking at it. Disturbing, but good, John.
It is that wonderful moment when the magic ingredient is added to hokey pokey toffee (think it is baking soda) when it all froths up and just has to be tasted to make sure it is 'just right'.
This is 'just right' :-)
Terrific work. It reminds me of those trees in Disney animated fairy tales with expressions and hands to grab you with.
The title seems much sadder than the image, though. It makes me think of the recent documentary (in the UK, anyway) about the disappearance of India's tigers and the failure of Project Tiger to tackle or acknowledge poaching. Some reserves are, like this jungle, deserted. Every last tiger killed for skin and bones. I hope the same is not true of the lions, though this does not look to me like lion territory. Then again, you're the lion. Though distantly related, as a domestic cat, I may not be in a good position to tell.
