This is a small suspension type footbridge that leads to the hiking trails in Newton Hills state park. It looks like a normal bridge until you step on it & it starts to sway back & forth. lol Thanks everyone for any and all comments, and especially for viewing! Always appreciated! ~Dan

I can't wait to see what's on the other side Dan so I'm going to forge ahead. Besides, the scene is so inviting, how could you not cross the bridge, even if it does sway. Very inviting journey and glad you shared it.

A great shot Dan ... I too am wondering what's on the other side of the bridge. I think most state park have suspension bridges ... there's one in the park right next to my land. Wonderful lighting & excellent clarity. Looks like it was a beautiful sunny day ... thanks so much for sharing.

Great job Dan this looks like a great place to hike around. We had an old foot bridge like that around here when I was a kid and we used to get 3 or 4 kids on it and just see how much we could get it swayin', went out there one weekend and it had fallen to the bottom. (about 15 ft) probably fat kids on there when we weren't around to guard it. LMAO You take care buddy.

Wouldn't this make a nice place to walk. Love the shadows. I think some of the bright areas got'cha on exposure. A little exposure compensation or bracketing the shot probably would have corrected that. Still nice.
Good work

Where's the foot? Did you clone it out?? :))) Very nicely done, Dan. I especially like the composition.

Looks like a nice place to get in touch with nature Dan. I'd be careful how I went across but I guess the faster the better LOL. Thanks Dan!

Your composition is just lovely on this one, and since I visited your other pic first, I know where we're headed :) I like the way the branch in the front is arched over the upper part of the entrance to this swinging foot bridge...as you sure it's safe to walk over it? I can't read that orange sign, but it seems to me there are wooden barriers on the other end of this too :) Oh, well, looks like it's rather well reinforced with the metal wires holding this up...makes me wonder how old it is.. DOF is good as the eye is definitely drawn naturally to the wider expanse in the background of this pic. Again as with the other take I just saw of this area, because of the slight oversaturation, as PatAndre first noted, the clarity suffers a little here too. It's so hard to take differing lights all at the same time, but as I mentioned before, it works well with the serene and breath-in-the-fresh-air feel that I'm picking up from this post...I like this one as well, Dan...good job ;)PJ

Swinging bridge? *Gulp* How deep is the gorge under that thing ... and how many skeletons are lying beneath it?!

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand. ~Margery Williams The Velveteen Rabbit~
