This is going to make a nice desk top, Dan. It's serene and calming with a lot of space in the sky for those pesky icons :) I'm trying to get my bearings here...we're standing looking back onto the loop road, so if we turned around we'd be going back up to the lookout tower? How the heck do you get outta here? Looks like a continuous loop... Don't tell me we need another sign..lol..
I think it's the undulating nature of the path as it creates the spoon shape right in front of us that is capturing my attention here. It's either that or the clarity of the trees and the dark shadows they're casting on the right or the way the trees are hugging the trail over on the left..The clarity obviously is very nicely done here and the DOF is mezmorizing. But it is the way you've composed it, the particular angle you've chosen to give us and the natural way it was laid out that is giving me a sense of serenity, and other than that..I can't find fault with it, and I can't explain why I am so drawn to this...it's just lovely, and I'm glad you saw it and posted it, my friend :)PJ

The soft sky and the lush green really make a nice combo, Dan. This is cool up on the desktop. Clone in some clowns now? LOL

I am out of breath just thinking abaout how long and winding this trip has been. But, what a neat thing to have close by. It appears to be a great escape. Nice capture of some peace and quiet.

This is a very interesting shot Dan. I really like the way it loops so closely to the trees. Also as far as it being paved, I think it makes it look more inviting. I really enjoyed the photos you've shared with us and those amazing views.
