So I can stop feeling sorry for him? Great picture. Even there is ice also on the water, it is that clear that I can see the stones in it. And the bird is very sharp and clear. Great work.

This guy must be related to MALLARD ON ICE or a A PRETTY PAIR and is just as nicely taken as the other two. I had to go look in your fine gallery, because I thought I had seen this guy's relatives before. I'm glad you're having warmer weather now, Sheriff, and thanks for sending this one along to help complete the picture !!!

He looks like a painting against the lovely soft background. I like his shadow too.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Ah, he's a beauty and what a lovely shadow he has. A little frozen water isn't going to stop him :) Great details and textures. The colors ain't bad either! I like the background icy fog - looks like white steam. I like your other duck images too. Good job Dan :)
