In the S.E. Hinton novel, The Outsiders, one of the characters quotes from Robert Frost's poem, Nothing Gold Can Stay. I disagree. I think the gold in our lives, our friends, will stay. Our friends are indeed something very valuable, highly desirable, & infinitely precious. So hold your friends close ....I will !

Such a lovely liquid image, I like this so much. Your sentiments are beautiful as well. Friends are more precious than gold - both are beautiful, but gold we can do without, and friends, not. To think of them as the gold in our lives is the right way to go

Golden moments can stay forever, golden thoughts and words can stay forever, but our gold as in monetary values, can come and go and that is because the value has to be in your heart of gold incase there is a fire and all "things" are lost, you still are rich. Nice liquid movement about it.

Hi Lauren, this is golden indeed, the entire concept coupled with your sentiments which are expressed so beautifully and appreciated by many, I am sure! I think that one of the biggest 'FLAWS' in life is to have it be void of friends! A tragedy indeed! The interactions between people are the very substance of life and it is through these interactions, we learn, to love, and to survive!! It is too, that through these connections made between persons we begin to build our dreams, and to live our lives productively!! Maybe my philosophy is a bit over simplified, what do you think? This fractal is golden all right, and besides the diamond, gold ranks pretty strong! You made me wear my thinking cap again!
