This one is very pretty but almost too busy, I think. The small "lights" seem to work but the large yellow areas at the top keep pulling my eye upward so it doesn't travel in a natural pattern to view the whole image. The colors and patterns in the center a beautiful. anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Excellent design and colour, Lauren. Great work.
It may be busy, but the design keeps you moving, throught the entire work.A rarity in one with this much detail.
Wow, if this is what the descent into madness looks like, here I am, take me away, lol...what a beauty Lauren...hope it didn't drive you nuts in the making 'cause I'm looking forward to more of your work.:Pat.
I guess I must be mad too Lauren, because I think this is gorgeous! The design is beautiful, and I love the color combination and the lighting! A real stunner! Vicky
Just feeling the same way about your gallery as several of the others I've been looking at recently (as a way of avoiding what I _should_ be doing with things I _want_ to be doing!): I wish I could comment on everything and regret the restriction to 24 hours in a day!
I especially like this one. I wouldn't have expected to like this combination of colours this much, but I do. The intricate detail of this is fantastic - I want to keep looking in and further in... It makes me think of an alien settlement (city, probably). I see a courtyard with the temple N and minor entrances W and E with either another S or, perhaps, an open thoroughfare or other public building (probably the former). The platform in the centre is surrounded by people ready for some spectacle: perhaps only an announcement, perhaps a ceremony or sacrifice. It's an odd way to draw it, perhaps. A sort of illustrated map of the kind cartographers used to do before they had the knowledge to fill in the gaps. But this is not due to lack of knowledge: it's an ornamental or ceremonial map/diagram/picture of some sort. The stars and suns behind are symbolic (perhaps connected with the temple?) and deliberately stylised. There are stories here... certainly a waiting, a feeling of suspense...
