Rock Harbor, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA. This small tree, no longer living, is the only item greater than one foot tall on the beach. Enjoy!

That would be a great entry for the contest. Excellent shot, Thad. Beautiful looking beach, and a nice sky too.

That's one skinny lifeguard Thad. Excellent work and I think JimboB is right about the contest.

I agreed with Jimbo on the contest would make a good entry.

I love the Cape. I once (almost) lost my trunks in the waters off of Truro. It is amazing the tree is standing still.

This should be a great entry for the contest Thad. The tree looks so lonely on the wide beach.

Artful work, Thad. Simple and beautiful. High contrast on the sands makes this photo simpler. Great composition for such a shot.

Thatīs and interesting view. Was the tree growing there and died or has someone put it there when it was already ded? Anyhow it makes for a good photo!

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

I like the white sand then the green beach grass with the lone tree and the choppy blue green waves...very stark but impressive with it's raw beauty

I just don't see how that one scraggly tree is ever going to produce enough lumber to make a proper Cape Cod house. Or is the house behind you? A nicely presented beach scene, Thad.

Makes me wonder how it even took root there for a time. A lovely simple shot.
