Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska, USA. One mile wide and 250 feet high at the face, the glacier is twelve miles long, forming from at least four branches, which form the medial moraines, dark stripes of rock scraped off the walls of the valley. (I tried to counter the blue haze in the image and reduce the impact of the fog in PS post-photo. Any expertise shared to further improve this is welcomed.) Enjoy!

This is a beautiful yet forbidding landscape. I wouldn't want to be left behind by accident (or on purpose). Looks to me like Carpet Masters needs to take a crack at this glacier. Maybe some steam cleaning could spruce it up a bit.

Even I don't need a kayaker to see how immense this scene is.

O my, but it does look almost like a large marble mine with the lines (moraines) running through. I really don't detect any color cast here and I can't offer advice on clearing fog, but doesn't appear that you need much, if any advice there anyway. Amazing sight.

I have to reverse my decision and say this is the best one in the series. All the lines, colors and textures makes it look like a fractal.
Perfect post Thad.

With curvy traces of different colors on the glacier this is a unique photo in your great glacier series, Thad.

Like to agree with Tick. Altough it's almost impossible, to me as well this one is slightly better than your previous one, Thad.

In the past I've tried to counter the impact of blue haze and/ or fog in an image many times with all kind of editing programs, but I never succeeded completely. So I'm curious as well whether there's a solution for it or not.

Regards, Cornelius.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

I am going to rent a helicopter and fly there, but first I have to take lessons and learn how to fly the durn thing! LOL. I would love to see all these places first hand. Another beauty here, Thad.

A great looking scene, Thad. Nice textures and colours in the shot. I like the fog enshrouding the mountaintops.
