College Fjord, Alaska, USA. From the ship, zooming in on Harvard Glacier with the 70-200 lens, the wind swept clouds, generated by the ice fields, blow over the ice and barren rock, making this a beautiful, but inhospitable place. The ice is 107 meters thick, 2 kilometers wide, and over 19 kilometers long - watch your step! Enjoy!

Looks too cold and barren for me Thad. I suspect the size is much larger than we can appreciate. Well composed.

Have never seen such a large fridge Thad. It's a very special one as well because it's a fridge with a very high 'chill factor', lol.

Stunning post, mate.

Regards, Cornelius.

It really is so beautiful, but as Tick said - very barren and cold for me also. Love the mood of this with the fog / clouds laying low

I don't think I would enjoy that weather but the image is outstanding.

Gorgeous scene and great capture, Thad. I like cold but not that much. A place really huge in size for us, humanbeings.

A great shot from the deck, Thad. You can almost hear this one growling as it slides into the sea. Nice details and textures in the capture. I like the fog/clouds obscuring the mountains in the background.
