Thad, it's a miracle on its own that it still exists. Gunpowder wasn't that stable in that time. I think that the 'wall' was not intended to give the 'outside-inwards' protection, but vice versa in the case that an explosion had occurred. Very interesting!!

I guess you could say this is a real big bang of an image. Beautiful capture and such detail, really like the shape of this Magazine, now is the regular shaped building the office part. They sure built a really strong wall to protect it. Excellent shot and loving our walk through history
