Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. When arriving at the visitors center at Monticello, the home designed and lived in by Thomas Jefferson, you are greeted by his likeness in this life-size bronze statue. Executed by Stuart Williamson under the direction of Ivan Schwartz, the nearly 6' 3" Jefferson appears as he looked when he returned to Monticello after serving two terms as U.S. President. His genius was reflected in his political career and in the many interests that were evident in his beloved Monticello. The depth of his impact on the world is recognized by Monticello and nearby the University of Virginia as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Annually, 450,000 visitors come to Monticello. (EXIF: ISO 125, 70 mm (24-70mm lens), f/3.2, 1/640 sec, AV priority.)

One more thing, sir! - said Lt Columbo - How tall was Mr Jefferson actually ? 6'3" ?
Seriously, this is a very becoming and interesting tribute to a unique person. To say nothing about the very nice photograph in terms of quality !

If I remember correctly, I took a picture of this in 1965 on a family vacation. I had an old Kodak Brownie camera. The picture was black and white. I definitely like your shot much better. It shows much more detail and the color is excellent. Thanks again for the info, Thad...and of course, the great looking shot.

If the color wasn't bronze, I almost shook hands with Mr.Jefferson, Thad because it is so real.

Perfect 'portrait' my friend!.
