San Diego Zoo, San Diego, California, USA. Playing the shy role, the two pandas kept their backs to us. One sat knotting on bamboo shoots, while this one pondered taking a nap. A moment after looking to the side, he climbed on a platform and laid down - with his rump facing us. A most antisocial bear!

Kung-Fu to you Thad.
Some have to use the zoo, not all are woodsmen.
Good shot.

I believe that they dine mainly on bamboo so to have some in this photo adds much to it. Fine image Thad.

If you had hundreds of people looking at you and children shouting etc. the whole day, you will also turn your back on them Thad. Good capture.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Marvelous close up of his/her profile - I remember exactly where you are on the zoo map. Reminds me of this my shot Truly Bear With Me. Excellent angle & detail - Bravo Thad.

Just love these amazing and adorable - I'd like to see one in the wild of China

Sounds like my kind of bear. A good close up on the indifferent bear, Thad. Nice details in the photo.
