This is the dam on Lake Barcis in Italy. There is a road crossing the dam that leads you into the tunnel. I followed the road which led me up a mountain over 2300 meters high (Piancavallo). As always, thank you for looking and leaving a comment.

It appears there are many walkways and climbing places for the workers of this dam. A most interesting structure, especially as it leads into a tunnel. A great shot, Doug. If there is ever enough water to spill over, this would be a beautiful place.

Very impressive shot Doug. The water on the right side of the dam does me realize that its construction must withstand an enormous force. Think that the construction has made 'earthquake proof' too.

Breathtaking, hope therefore that by the lack of 'air', you could have followed the road, to the 2300 meters high mountain, by car, lol.

Interesting structure and rather different than most of the dams I've seen Doug. Good capture.

What a great piece of engineering! I always was fascinated how they divert the water while build the dam, something I am sure some people don't even think about.
