Eagle's view of a mountain lake..........My first try with Terragen. Please tell me what you think, and where i can improve.. I still have problems with the sun and clouds, but have not been there on the "tutorial". These ones i've figured out myself.

Congratulations Marietha!!!

VERY cool First Terragen!!! Seriously!
The POV..(position of view) is Really Cool!

Take your time and PLAY with it!!!
When you find a world scene that you like, and may want to come back to...Ya gotta save it. AND save the texture too. 2 Saves. Ya really need to learn that, so you can come back to the SAME POV and make changes.

GREAT first render!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have Fun playin!! :-)

Sounds like Foxfire knows all about this sytuff. I do not and I much prefer the "real" thing. However, this being your first try, I think you are well on your way to producing fantastic computer generated landscapes if your normal photography is any indication. I don't like the lack of color in this. That's my main gripe. The water is done quite well. Looks pretty real. Keep at it. It won't come overnight but puhleeeze don't forget to send us some "real" stuff that you are so good at.

Looks pretty good for a first try. I would be no help to you. I tried it a couple of times but just can't keep my interest in it.

This is fantastic for your first Terragen. The POV is perfect. I have had the program for several months now, but haven't had the chance to play with it much. This makes me want to give it a try again. I really love the the mountain peaks & that amazing water reflection. Congratulations.

Beautiful Marietha! This is your first try...wow...you did really well. I have never tried Terragen so I have no idea how to help you improve it. Just play with it and I am sure you will do just great! Well done!

Every morning I will rest my arms a while upon the windowsill of heaven, gaze upon God, and with that vision in my heart turn strong to meet my day.

I think this is just fine, you'll get the hang of it like we all do by trial and error. Just stick with it if you like it.

All your work is great, but can you tell me what a terragen is? I know terra means land, so is it a computer altered photo of a land object?
