This Copperhead ( i am not very sure which one - sorry), another venomous snake, was posing, watching me as if i'm crazy to take about 20 pictures of him. I was facinated by the coppery colour of this lovely snake. Isn't he just lbeautiful!

Marietha, I have a friend who is a retired cutator of reptiles and he talks just like you do...they're my best friends and they won't hurt you ... ICK. You've certainly captured this copperhead while he was relaxing. Not sure I would want to be anywhere near that close. Good work. Thanks for sharing this with us. Anita

Yes "he" is beautiful as is this capture you composed so well. The shadowed background and the wood behind it brings out it's rather striking colors.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

can you see the worry in my eyes too? well he is very pretty I have to say. I did see a couple of snakes in Calgary Zoo and if they are behind glass then I will gladly put my face right up to it and have a good luck, otherwise I will be out of this place quicker than you can count to 10. You are so brave getting so close to these animals. Another wonderful photograph. Thank you for sharing so many photographs of wonderful creatures.

Marietha, amazing! If my eyes aren't playing tricks, you were working with a very narrow DOF and what should be in focus is! Wonderful job, once again! - Patty

Great shot Marietha. This other snake is beautiful too. I admire your guts photographing these venomenous snakes from up close, you are like those naturists/explorers who get close. This series is so interesting, I cannot wait to see more! Josette

He's beautiful, but deadly I think. I love the colors and your framing is just wonderful.
