The Burmese python is a very large python native to southern Asia. It is semi-arboreal, but heavy-bodied. Females are typically larger than males. They are light colored snakes with many dark brown blotches covering them in an attractive pattern, which has further increased their popularity with both reptile keepers and the leather industry. The pattern is similar in color, but different in actual pattern to the African rock python.Their natural prey are birds and mammals. The Burmese python is capable of raising its body temperature while incubating its eggs; by twitching its muscles it increases the temperature to slightly above that of the ambient air.

Well, you definitely have our support and don't worry about the comments. There's no race or contest in that regard. I know we'd like all our friends to see all of our posts, but life is busy and we do our best. I am glad that you are showing us these interesting critters and telling about them because otherwise we might never have had the opportunity to see such amazing things and you have expanded our knowledge bases. There is so much of the world that we can't all get around to seeing first hand and Caedes and artists like you bring it to us. Thank you Marietha.

Not to worry about "Thank You's" ... Your the one giving us these wonderful pictures and a bit of an education as well ... I believe any "Thank You's" should be coming from this side of the fence. Another good image Marietha. Keep them coming ... Please!

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
