This is one of a herd of Elephants that were crossing the Chobe River to an Island in the river where they apparently love to graze.. Thanx for all the great support and comments on my Mom's work. She went home, but I have to phone here every evening to "report" back on what you guys n girls think.. She asked me to THANK each and everyone that visit her work here, she appreciates it very very much. Have a lovely weekend

Amazing view of this huge and friendly animal. Susan did great with this one Marietha. The water is a beautiful blue and he shows up very well with his dark color. Outstanding post and so glad you two shared this one. Hope you mom isn't too far away from you. Thanks for sharing this one. It was a fascinating trip ;)

Great pic...the water looks tempting. Did you jump in with him? Do they still have Derm cigarettes over there? Just how much are a pack a Derms these days? I hear ya groaning.

Don't think I've ever seen an image of one of these gentle brutes where it was so clean looking even after bathing. This one looks like it all set for night on the town with a blind date. Beautiful capture by your Mom and bulls-eye focus.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Just marvelous! The colors are sensational and the image is terrific compositionally. I think she should become a Caedes member so we can see lots more of her images!

I can't afford a camera. The only camera I have now is a 1.3 megapixel cell phone camera which really sucks. When I finally am able to buy a proper camera, look out cuz Caedes, here I come!! For now though, I'll just learn from the gurus here *blush*
