Space the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no man has gone before.OOPS! Sorry, wrong narrative. Full Pink Moon It was so named because an early spring flower called "moss pink" started to bloom. This shot was taken in HHR on April 9,2009 at 10:08 PM. Panasonic DMC FZ50 W/Olympus B300 1.7 Teleconveter at 700MM - f5.6 - 1/100sec - ISO 100 Aperture priority mode. I didn't have my tripod handy so i used the roof of my wife's new Chevy HHR for support. (I sure hope she don't read this) Have a Happy Easter Everyone

A first I thought HHR was a New type of HDR.
700mm! Has Nasa called you yet?
Fine HHR assisted Lunar Capture Spook!
Although I don't see the Man in the Moon I still like the excellent detail.

I remember your last full moon image, Ed. That impressed me quite a bit and so does this one. Lovely shot!

I had never heard of a pink moon before. Learning all the time. I didn't know you could put an extender on a Panasonic FZ50 before either, but it sure does take one new places. Great shot of the moon, Ed. I always am fascinated by it, especially the dimple where God blew into it and it inflated. Sorry, getting a little luney there.

Has cost me some time to find out that HHR stands for 'Heritage High Roof'. Although somewhat expensive for this purpose, suppose that a Chevy HHR is the most stable stand one can have, lol.
Great post my friend!

Now that's one amazing lens you have there! Great close up and I've used all sorts of things as tripods.

I've heard of a harvest moon, but never a pink one. :)
