This young Tri-coloured Heron just few over to where i was sitting on a log. I hope it was a log! with all the Gators around i'm not so sure. He didn't move till his two white Ibis friends on the other side of the river came over to join him. Then the three of them went fishing together.

You have gotten an excellent shot of that handsome heron, Ed. Very well focused and all that camera talk. LOL. I like the looks of the water, too. You got a winner here, in my opinion.

Fantastic detail and colors on him! What a beauty! I really like the multi colored background enhancing the scene. I think he may be a Tricolored Heron . I have been hoping to see one. Saved!

Suppose the tri-coloured heron and the two white ibis are member of the same fishing club Ed, lol.
Was smiling too about your narrative about sitting on what's probably (?) a log.
Thanks for another fine post in this huge and wonderful series my friend!

The best way to make sure whether it is a log or not is to slide up and down seated. If it is a smooth feeling it is a log and if it is a bumpy feeling - oh too late! A beauty of a shot Ed, great clarity and colours.

Very nice shot, I guess gators don't scare him. Is that the reflection on the water? It's hard to tell. Great capture.
