Another view of Sir Norman Foster's 'Gherkin', built as the headquarters of Swiss Re Bank in London. It was sold last year in the largest ever single property transaction to take place in the UK.

I sure would love to go up in that building. Is there an observation platform near the top? I bet it would be a fantastic view of all of London. Great shot, Nigel.

Another great shot of this peculiar building.
I am not sure I actually like the construction all that much but you make it look spectaular.:)

I feel like one of the little people from down here! lol! I think you must have been taking your life in your own hands too Nigel as you obviously got down low and right in the middle of the road!

Love the perspective - this building is amazing!

I can see you sticking your head up through a man-hole with the cover on your head Sir Nigel. Keystone Kops come to mind. This vision of you doing this really parallels this shot with the Gherkin sticking its head up through the builds. Vlastastic.

This is really good, amazing color and clarity. The perspective is nice too but I think I like the perspective of the 30 St Mary Axe version much better. Maybe if the red sign was cloned out of this one? It feels kind of unbalanced or something to me for a symmetrical shot. Not completely sure why but it's still nice.

I love wide angles :) I also like the warmth of the light on the buildings and very blue sky.
