This shot is dedicated to Tick, This sound like one of your stories. I had to pick up my daughter from dance, It was so nice out I decided to leave early and go to the beach first. As I was leaving my house, I took my thing, of course my camera and off I went. I got to the beach and notice I forgot my pocketbook, that's not good, I was driving with out my drivers license, there was nothing I could do about it, so I walked down to the water. It was a great to be at the beach. I wanted to get a nice close-up shot of the waves coming in, so I got into the water just up to my ankles. I was wearing My rubber flip flop that could get wet. I put the camera low to get this shot and then the wave hit me to about my knees, that was OK because I was wearing long shorts. When the wave pulled back out, I looked down and I was missing ONE flip flop! I looked at my foot and then the water, but I could not see my missing flip flop. Now I thinking I'm not only going to be driving with out my license, but with out my shoe. Both of these are against the law in New York! Next thought, Wait the tide was coming in, I might have a chance to get the flip flop back, so I waited and look at the wave for about 5 minutes, when all of a sudden, I saw it just wash up on the shore about 25 feet down the beach. I started running down the beach as fast as I could go in wet sand, as I was running a wave hit me, now I was wet to the hip! But I got the flip flop back, I was laughing the whole time. I hope you like the photo. :)

He he he...that's a funny story, and a great picture. Great action in the waves, and outstanding color and clarity. Very well done.

What a great story Laura. It is so funny. With all that you took a great photo. As you can see from my avie (made by PJ) I lost my flip flops as well. I had to fave this one.

Enjoy your weekend and your flip flops.

Excellent colors and action of those waves. I like the soft sky. Your story may be another contest idea..."the crazy things we get into with the camera". I lost my sunglasses just yesterday to an alligator. : ) Saved.

Shooting, I have lost my way, my mind, my coffee and my balance, but never a flip-flop! Fun story, and we all know what you must go through sometimes to get the shot! :) AND it is a great pic of a big roller coming in.
