I was on the road when I saw this little lake so I stopped to take a look. I found this very old tree down, and tho girls deep in talk as they watch the beauty before them. If you look under the tree, you can see 4 geese swimming by, I guess they are friends too. The sun was in front of me, I wish it was behind me, but what can you do. This will be my last post for a week. I have to go out of town with my daughter for her National dance competition. Have a great week to all of my friends I will miss seeing all of your work, but I will be happy to see it when I get back.

Interesting old tree, was there more to it? Fascinating image. The geese and girls really add to the image also.

A really fine shot with the geese framed by that wonderful downed tree. Looks a little hot and hazy too. We'll miss you. Have fun and good luck to your daughter.

I really like how you have captured the geese through that opening. Nice capture. Hurry back, and good luck to your daughter with her competition.

A most unusual looking tree, and I really like the comp and low lighting here, Laura! I also, like the natural framing for the geese view! Best of luck to your daughter, and enjoy the coming week! :)

Very nice shot and composition - and I think the light in front actually made a better shot. Hope the competition goes well.

A fine capture, Laura. I like the under the tree view of the geese swimming by. That fallen tree looks like a great place to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Good luck with your daughter's dance competition. Nice work.

Excellent capture Laura! You were in the right place at the right moment for sure. The angle is just right. So very well composed! Faved!

I suspect your daughter will be a big winner in her competition. Not unlike you are with this photo. Great work Laura and I especially like how the geese are a part of the scene. The tree is shaped much like a goose neck and head.

I love the way the geese are framed. The figures leaning against the tree are perfectly placed to balance this composition. Nice work Laura !
